Clio Update: O2 Sensor

A few weeks back, I bought an O2 sensor for the Clio from eBay.
The idea was that I was going to fit this myself, but it’s bloody impossible to get to without a garage lift.
Anyway, the bloody warning light came back on yesterday, so I got my tame garage to install the o2 sensor for me today. Turned out to be a good move, the mechanic had a pig of a job getting the old sensor out. The car drives just great, no arsing about as it warms up.
Unfortunately, the bloody light came back on, but different error. This one turned out to be a ‘short to earth’. One more visit to the garage and it was sorted.
Total costs involved: £22.95 for the o2 sensor, and a tenner to get it fitted.
Fingers crossed.
Oh, and the MOT is due on a couple of weeks. Joy.
