I always wanted a Fiat 500. The nearest I ever got was a couple of Fiat 126s..
The first one (“Hughie”) was my daily transport for about a year. In that time I blew up the gearbox and engine. It also got vandalised due to waking people up at 6:30AM every morning (have you heard one start from cold?)
The second one I bought off eBay. It arrived IN a van.. turned out to be too rotten to save. :(
The driving experience is like being followed (chased is too strong a word) by a small angry lawnmower.
I’d have another one tomorrow.
